LOL, well how long has it been. Several months to be exact. Man I feel like such a silly. I go this as a place to blab to, and I haven't been using it. Well no more, starting today I write.
Sunday What's there to say? Well for one thing I should talk about what happened with EVE and everything. *laughs* She'll kill me if I use her real name. *laughs* Okay so to start with we were discussing matters of her life and just making each other laugh like crazy. Apparently my mind is quite frequently in the gutter. Not something that I'm totally proud of, but I guess I'm just...gutter minded. Better then sitting around and not having much of a mind.
Like I said we were talking about things, and more interestingly about the fact that she used to not be so innocent as she seems. Some how this got into talking about how weird families,s are. Particularly hers, especially the males in there. Like how her brother when he was 14 was stealing jello shots from a party with his friend. She told me that she's not marrying a guy that gets drunk at parties. Here here! *laughs*
What else...well apparently it's hard for her to see what sort of guy I would be with. Not that it's easy for me to picture being with anyone. Well at least how we would meet, the rest seems to be easy for me. Oh and apparently we may...or may not...go out to a club. Yeah right. Like that is ever going to happen. And I some what shocked her by stopping Sparky by our quad. She was ready to kill me. *grins* Not really, but she did call me a "brat" in fun. Oh and men seem to be germophobic more then women. Go fig, at least where I work.
Example: *Chris: *bringing over a scarf mixed in with other objects* Here
this is yours.
*Me: Um...no it's not. That's someones scarf.
*Cris: *Let's it drop to the floor*
*Me: You going to pick that up?
*Chris: No...I ain't picking that sh*t up.
*Me: *to Sparky* Well I'm not picking it up. You guys dropped it.
*Sparky: I ain't picking it up, it's on the floor by you.
*Chris: Yeah so you two handle it. *they try to walk away.*
*Me: Well I'm not picking it up. You were fine when you were
carrying it before. So why don't you just pick it up.
*Chris: *still trying to walk away...eventually comes back with a
pen and picks up said scarf, throws it in the trash.* You could
have done it.
*Me: *laughs* Um no, you brought it over, you throw it out.
Like I said, scared of some germs.
Monday Came up with an idea finally for a fanfic with Bakura and Kanika. And I finished the Yo-Yo, now to edit and send out. Speaking of which...I HATE THE JOB MARKET! I can't seem to find a damn job. Blah, and the ones I send out for I don't hear from. Why? What's wrong with me? I look I do what I'm supposed to. What more can I do?
I've also sent out a story to three places...still have some other ones to send to. Nurgh...God, Gods, or whoever's up there. Help me get a job writing so I can get my book going. Please!
V-Day I don't know why I tend to get down on this day and the day that follows. Two years ago this wouldn't have irked me, I guess because I made friends I've let my walls crack some and because of that even small emotions flood me. That probably isn't all that good. Like I was telling Rechan last night, I've been feeling wistful. Everyone seems to have someone to flirt with and it just...I don't know...it gets to me. I want to be able to have that. I guess it's just natural to get that feeling once in a while. Not that I'm depressed, mind you, just really tired of a lot of things. Pressure to be perfect. I guess that's the only way to put it. *laughs* I'm trying not to think of how some of my extended family must be thinking I'm such a loser. No boyfriend, no "real" job, living at home at 24. Blah. Now I sound like I'm down. Well maybe I am a little but not as much as I'm sure other people were yesterday.
Reading list New thing, I'm going to start discussing Mangas that I've been reading, and to start things off.
Princess Ai Plot: Follows the story of Ai, a mystery girl that falls into Tokyo one night. She's discovered by Kent, a college student who finds her interesting. She has a heart shaped locket and dresses in what one would call torn gothic like clothing.
Book one: Wow what to say about this one. It's a quick read, but the cool thing is the lyrics to songs. The artist DJ Milky wrote them for this book. Firstly you have Ai, the alternate version of Courtney Love who helped create the series, then you have a very unique cast of characters that make me laugh. Hikaru, Jen, and the group at Haybusa entertainment make up the first grouping of characters Ai meets in this world.
Book two: I'll put in details for these two later.
Book three: Most revealing of the series to date. Milky does have a style of making scenes amusing, although I must warn here. I'm about to reveal spoilers.

Ahem...So after Ai and Kent run off, Hikaru and Jen meet on the streets. Each are looking for their respective friend. The two literally bump into each other. OUCH! And discover that they're both looking for Ai and Kent. After a discussion of why they like each one...not really all that necessary in my opinion, but I forgive, first time serialization for the author...they head out to look for the wayward love birds. Hikaru gives the Seers (a group that detests Ai and all she stands for apparently) a piece of his mind after he and Jen come upon a group of them. Mean time Kent and Ai are falling for each other, and she gives him a locket. Cute version of Ai with the tears on her face.
Later we see our heroes on a world tour, or rather on a brief world tour. No you don't get to see that, which kinda sucks. During an autograph session you get a glimpse of a thief that factors in a few pages later. He breaks into Ai's apartment, while Jen (Jan *will have to go back and check*) is sleeping on the couch. Jen sees the guy, grabs the box with the heart, and dies along with the thief. Apparently the gem on top, it's made of Dogen blood and it kills Humans. Ai becomes depressed, and while on a bus ride to Osaka Meggi, Kaz's little devoted servant and Tess's sister, comes in to attack Ai. Tess fends her off with...Flowers...apparently she's venom so sweet things make her sick. Nice. *laughs* Would all villains of the world be stopped by throwing flowers at them.
Of course we discover that Hayubusa is plotting to have Tatsuki or Hiro kill Ai, turning her into a Kurt Cobane, James Dean, god knows who else dead famous rocker. He expects to make a lot of money off of this. Ai's so upset over Jen's death but she still sings, and the next thing you know Meggi's back. Shes' brought along her older sister Alexa who's been sent by Kaz to retrieve them. Tess tries to stop her sisters, but Meggi get's a shot off with a deadly arrow. Kent jumps in the way, gets hit, and dies. _ _;;;
Ai, devastated goes off the deep end, her songs are dark and turn everyone against each other. She's a half breed apparently. Anyway long story short. *Yeah like I ever make my stories short. XP* Alexa confronts Ai, they battle in a way, and Tatsuki comes up to shoot Ai...but he can't do it. *Isn't that always the way.* Alexa freezes time, Tatsuki's gun pointed down. Only there are birds flying over head. Vultures...*What no crows?* "Birds of Death" as Ai-chan calls them. Alexa tells Ai that she's a destroyer, but Ai doesn't want to be.
Ta-da...a bird comes down and it's Fa'an. He's a guardian angel of sorts. Ai discovers she has the power to destroy or create. She calls for more light (and a costume change apparently) just as Hiro, dude with glasses, fires a gun. (He blacked out the lights) Ai sings and two flowers come down, Rose and Amione. One is for humans (the rose) one is for Angels (amione) she puts these on Kent. The arrow hit this locket she gave him...go fig. XD
So Kent comes back to life, Ai sings about love, and all the villains are taken into custody. The Seers come to see her, and give her a book where the box fits. Ai decides to go back to Ai-land and help her people, both halves of her. In Ai land Kaz realizes that Nora (Ai's boyfriend there) is right, Ai is the savior and the Second Revolution. It's decided that Ai and the three sisters are going back to Ai land...and Kent..well he's staying on earth for now.
Interestingly enough that's the end of the Manga. However it said the story isn't over and going to follow in other forms. What those forms are I'm not sure. But probably either a cartoon (anime) or a book series. Either way, this was a interesting start to a unique series. I do recommend it.
Plot: Simple with good humor. Milky needs his work on making the scenes a bit more dramatic with Kent and Ai during the later parts. And the writer needs to be a bit more...straight on with her dialog.
Art: Milky is very good. I do like his clean line, just for some reason reading his stuff makes me giggle. Maybe because it reminds me of Nec's art work. Ah well.
Over all: Very good read, four out of five points. Ai's worth the read if you find it. Not to heavy and not to light. Fan's of Love will like it, the songs need music to them though.
